Psychotherapy
My name is Katrin and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor.
I started my career in the mental health field as a Residential Counselor and
then as a Transitional Age Youth Counselor over 9 years ago.
Today I am a therapist and a research associate for the head of the Bipolar Collaborative Network. My focus is on mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy for Bipolar Disorder (IPSRT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBT-P), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and I am a Certified Trauma Professional. I am also one of a handful of clinicians trained in Family-Focused Therapy for Bipolar Disorder (FFT).

I use an eclectic approach in my treatment style because you are the most important member of this treatment team. It is important that you choose the treatment you are comfortable with that aids in your recovery. Seeing me, you may find our sessions to be empowering, challenging, yet comfortable, and at times humorous. You can become energized by the unfolding of your story, and gaining new insights into your thoughts and feelings that are no longer working for you.
I look forward to working with you in your journey to recovery.
